We’re Hiring an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Near North Crime Stoppers 

North Bay, ON 

Part-time, Permanent 

$20 - $26/hour; up to 12 hours/week (flexible schedule) 
 

Crime Stoppers is a partnership of the public, the police and the media which provides the community with a proactive program for people to anonymously assist in the solving of crime and contributes to an improved quality of life in our community. The Near North Crime Stoppers is managed by a volunteer board of directors and supported by the Executive Director. 
 

Qualifications: 

- Excellent communication skills 

- Basic bookkeeping skills 

- Strong organization and record-keeping skills 

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel, etc.) 

- Must possess a valid driver’s license 

- Must be willing to undergo a criminal record check 

- Board experience is an asset 

 

Responsibilities: 

1. Board operations and program administration: 

• Attend all board of directors and executive meetings; 

• Prepare monthly activity update for board review; 

• Coordinate travel / conference / zone meeting attendance; 

• Attend zone meetings and conferences, as required; 

• Correspond / liaise with other boards and enforcement agencies, as required; 

• Maintain corporation documents; 

• Maintain day-to-day financial activity, including bill payments and bank deposits; liaise with bookkeeping firm; 

• Assist with budget preparation; 

Track board member years of service records and coordinate annual award pins; 

Prepare applications for Volunteer Service Awards through the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration; and 

Maintain NNCS general email communication. 

 

2. Program promotion and fundraising: 

• Assist board committees with fundraising events; 

• Recommend and coordinate program promotion and education activities; 

• Prepare and submit licenses, applications and reports for Nevada ticket sales as required by the Municipality of West Nipissing, the City of North Bay, and the Municipality of Parry Sound; 

• Liaise with Community First Funding Group (CFFG) for annual telemarketing fundraising initiative; 

• Prepare applications for annual sponsorships; and 

• Track and maintain promotional items inventory.
